FRUIT BODY: 1-3cm wide (per fruit body). A resupinate lichen-like species that can be easily overlooked. The irregular patches formed are blue-grey with a violaceous tint and are usually extensive on the host branches. The surface is slightly warted and the edges well defined. GILLS/PORES: N/A. FLESH: Greyish, thin and waxy. SPORES: Pink, cylindric and curved. HABITAT: On dead twigs and branches of deciduous trees. SEASON: Common. Throughout the year. EDIBILITY: Inedible. |
